Diablo 3 With Real Money Auction House For In-Game Items

August 2, 2011 8 comments

You will be able to sell your items for real money in Diablo 3. There will also be a in-game gold auction house as in World of WarCraft

“Ultimately, players want it,” – ”In the past we’ve really taken this hardline stance of, we will just try to stamp it down in every place that we can. And we could take that approach. But I actually think that with Diablo, it actually will end up being a good thing, at least something that players will be excited about. It really is something that a lot of players are already looking to do.” – Blizzard

Diablo 3

Blizzard announced that you will need an Internet connection to be able to play Diablo 3, this means both single player and multiplayer.

There will be a requirement to have an internet connection to be able to play Diablo 3, multiplayer and singleplayer. This is exactly like they did with StarCraft 2. Rob Pardo, executive producer at Blizzard explains why they made this decision:

“And then once I have this powerful character, I’ll jump online.’ But the problem with that concept is we can’t really detect if they’re cheating. They might have the capability to hack their character, things like that, so at that point we can’t really allow that character to be in the battle net environment. Then they’re going to have to restart their character, which is exactly what happened in Diablo II, which was really unfortunate.”

Blizzard has finally opened their World of Warcraft / StarCraft Theme Park called World Joyland

"World Joyland" - World of Warcraft / StarCraft Theme Park

Blizzard has just open their first theme park and it’s located in China. The park contain things from the World of Warcraft and StarCraft series! It looks great but you can read things like it was not built properly. But I still want to check it out!

“it seems to have been shoddily built, as despite having only been open for a few weeks already there was ‘general decay’ and ‘cracks in paint and rust on handrails”
